Challenge
Kontabas, a premium Ukrainian beverage brand, wanted to expand its product line with new flavors while maintaining authenticity and craftsmanship. The challenge was to design sophisticated packaging for Smoke, Oak, and Honey, while also preparing bilingual labels (EN/UA) for both local and international markets. Beyond packaging, Kontabas required presentations, brochures, flyers, and exhibition visuals to support sales and marketing efforts.
Solution
We created a versatile design system to support brand expansion and international presence:
Designed labels for Smoke, Oak, and Honey, uniting them under a consistent brand identity.
Adapted packaging into two language versions (UA/EN) to strengthen both domestic and international communication.
Developed presentations, brochures, flyers, and exhibition visuals, helping Kontabas showcase its products effectively at trade shows.
Provided ongoing design support, ensuring the brand stayed consistent and recognizable across all touchpoints.
Result
Kontabas successfully introduced its new flavors with a cohesive premium identity system.
The labels made each new flavor distinct yet aligned with the brand’s heritage.
Bilingual packaging allowed the brand to confidently approach international distributors.
Marketing and exhibition assets gave Kontabas a professional presence at industry events.
The design support toolkit equipped the team with scalable communication materials.
Conclusion
This project showed that Kontabas needed more than packaging alone — they required a comprehensive design support system to launch new flavors, expand internationally, and build a strong market presence.
By combining label design, bilingual packaging, and marketing assets, we helped Kontabas position itself as a heritage-inspired yet globally ready premium beverage brand.
For us, this case demonstrates how branding and packaging design can empower craft liquor brands to scale internationally without losing authenticity.
